Martin L. Squier In the Second MI Cavalry

While researching a soldier in the Second Michigan Cavalry, Norman Benedict, I found the book, "A Hundred Battles In The West," which was written about that unit.  Another soldier in the 2nd Michigan Cavalry was Martin L. Squier:

When the 2nd Cavalry was originally organized, Russell A. Alger was the Captain of Company "C":

Captain Russell A. Alger married a Squier descendant, Huldana Annette Henry.  She was a first cousin of Martin L. Squier who was the Captain of Company "C" at the end of the Civil War.

My grandkids are descendants of Wait and Hannah (Powell) Squier.
