Caroline Clement, mentioned in Mazo's biography was Hugh Clement's aunt. Also mentioned in the biography was Harvey Reginald MacMillan, the "richest man in Canada," who was a cousin of both Mazo and Caroline. MacMillan was the "grandson of Grandma Lundy's oldest brother, Wellington Willson." Shaw Manifold in the novel, "Growth Of A Man," was based upon H. R. MacMillan.
Explorers of the Dawn was another book by Mazo de la Roche.
