Gassleins At The Keg In Philadelphia

Joseph Aloysius Gasslein, son of John Charles & Harriet (McDonough) Gasslein, of Philadelphia married Jim's great-aunt, Alice White.  John Charles Gasslein's father was John Joseph Gasslein, Jr.  Were they part of the same family remembered in the book excerpt below?  I don't know.

From "Steeplejack: Apology. pt.I. In old Philadelphia. pt. II. Paris forty years ago" by James Huneker, mentioned "The Keg" kept by the Gasslein brothers, Joseph and Charles, the sons of old man Gasslein, who had a place fifty years ago further up town on Callowhill or Noble St.

The book also told of the actor, Edwin Booth, brother of John Wilkes Booth, at "The Keg."

In 1878 the Philadelphia City Directory:
Gasslein, John C., conveyancer, 217 S. 3rd, h 1434 Christian

Gasslein, John J., lager, 10 S. Broad, h 1629 Filbert
Gasslein, John J., Jr., bartender, h 1332 Ellsworth
